Twiztid Rose
I AM SO TRIPPIN OUT RIGHT NOW! It just seems like everything is falling in place! For you Californians in here, you may know how hot it was yesterday... FRIGGIN HOT!!! Shane had to work in it, and he wasn't a happy camper. He called Julio (manager of Loves) to check in and to talk to him about the Texas position. Hes really not liking the idea of going somewhere just as hot as here. Julio says, "Are you sure you don't want the Portland (Troutdale) position?" Hell yes he wants the Portland position!! Shane said that was actually why he called him, because he was having doubts about Texas. He said that they lost the drivers that they were having problems with, and theres positions again, and said if Shane accepts, he'll give him the day shift, and possibly lead driver (means an extra $100 a week in pay).So if everything comes back clear, we have the Oregon position!!!!!! Julio thinks the only problem we may have is our credit, they do credit checks on hopefuls. We told him or credit isn't great, especially with the repo last year. But hopefully it won't matter. **crosses fingers!!**And back to everything happening and falling in place.... I had to call my car company for something today. She says lemme look at your account, I don't think you're due again until Sept. I said WHAT?!! She says yeah, didn't you bring in that check that got applied to the balance? (We got into a hit and run accident in Dec, and just gave the insurance check to them to apply to the balance, instead of fixing a small hole in the bumper.) I said yeah, but you said it wouldn't apply to the payments. She said well, I guess it did!!! I didn't even need to make the payment I just made LOL. And I am not due again until September!!!!!!!!! This couldn't have happened at a better time. I have been so stressed out since my surgery and the move at the same time. And this just took a HUGE load off my back. *sigh of relief!*
PeeKnuckle
Hope you guys do get Oregon. I like Oregon a lot. It may rain a lot, but the scenery is beautiful. Cost of living is pretty low, too.Not sure where Troutdale is, but definitely visit the Oregon coast when you get a chance. It's really nice. It's really nice.Troutdale is something like 20 miles from Portland. I hope we get it too. We'll be disappointed if we don't. And I'm sure we'll definately check out the coast!! =)

Twiztid Rose
Ok, the excitement is really kicking in now!! We found a place today!!!!! Its all set up, and we move in on the 21st of July. We were sooooo stressed trying to find a place. But I knew with everything else falling into place as it did, that would too. And it did! We found a gorgeous 3 bedroom apartment . The kids will be so happy not to have to share a room anymore (and so will we!), its been a looong 4 months in this little house lol.

Twiztid Rose
Heres a link to our apartments.. Kempton Downs, they are gorgeous. They are in Gresham, OR. Shanes work is 4 miles away lol, we didn't plan that. We'll be on the 3rd floor (my choice), so we'll have vaulted ceilings. I can't wait for the spa! Twiztid Rose
I can't believe its almost time! We head out on Monday. I will be taking the train, apparantly 4 people cannot legally ride in a uhual... We almost sent Ian by train, but after 2 days of constantly riding in the car saying our goodbyes to family and friends (and our last trip to Pismo Beach), we decided it would probably be better for my body to take the train. I'm nervous, I've never rode a train before, and I am a little wierded out by buses (I feel like it will tip , I know, I'm wierd..) so I'm afraid I will feel the same way on a train. But I've heard that the trip up the coast line is gorgeous, so I'm excited about that. Its a 20 hour ride! I'm sure there will be many stops (smoke break!!!), but I only have one change of trains, in Sacramento. Then I make it to Portland at 3:40pm on Tuesday. Shanes gonna have about a 12 hour jump on me, so they can stop and sleep at a hotel along the way. Then we'll be in our new home!

Super Kev
Hot DAMN!! That's awesome. I took the train from Seattle to Jersey when I first went to school here and I loved it. Taking the train is great.. you can get up and walk around, there are dinning cars, little food and drink stands, there was an observation car .. all sorts or cool stuff. I would like to go and travel around Canada and the USA on trains! .. Good luck with the move and let us know when you get there!!
PeeKnuckle
The train is nice, Rose. The bathrooms are nice and they even have a food car. If you have a laptop or any other electrical device, you can plug into the train, directly. Almost all seats have plugs. The one layover you have, though... it might kinda suck. Each time I take train from the Bay Area up to Colfax, I have to stop over in Sac. Might not be so bad for you, though. You're changing trains. No trains go to my area, so we get off in Sac and then wait usually an hour outside (hot), until our bus is ready to leave.I hate the bus. Seriously hate it. Just got my new cell phone today from Cricket. Its pretty sweet. You can set it to display your temp in your city. Of corse I set it to Gresham LOL. And the temp difference?? Its supposed to be like 103 or so today here in CA, its only 79 in Gresham! I can't wait!!!Now that time is almost here its dragging by!!!

Twiztid Rose
Well the family are on their way!! I'm bummed I couldn't ride with them, but I'm looking forward to the train ride too. I will be taking pics if I can on the train. May be going to fast to get anything lol.I am taking my laptop with me, but I don't know if theres internet on the train, I'm assuming not. I have web on my phone, but I can't figure out how to use twitter on it. Is there some special way to use twitter on a cell phone or something??? I think I will be able to get on facebook atleast, but idk how well it works. I tried to see if I could sign into gtalk, but couldn't find an option to. I have a few games to play, and a movie to watch, but I am gonna be so bored by myself lol.

I usually just watch the scenery or read.Yeah, I bought a few computer games, and I still have to read the unpublished Twilight book that I copied to my notepad from the internet. And then I brought a movie along too. And my camera!! I've been excited all along, but it is really kicking in now!!! Does anyone know anything about twitter posting from a cell phone? Is there a special app or something?? I don't have a really special phone, but it browses the web ok. I got on here with it last night, but didn't try to post or anything. I did post on my facebook with it though.Well gotta run to the bank before it closes (got all of our deposit from the house back, YES!). I'll try and check back in before I head out to the train, I leave at 7:40 tonight.
Twiztid Rose
We made it! Its so beautiful up here!! We are in a Motel 6, in Gresham, we get our apartment keys tomorrow morning. I took a ton of pics from the train, I will post them within the next few days. I'm too exhausted to mess with it right now. Our internet will be hooked up (hopefully with no problems!) on thursday afternoon. Right now I am gonna lay down on this hard *** hotel bed and crash out hard (Shanes already out!!), I only slept for 2 or so hours on the train. I felt like I was a little kid, I was worried I'd miss something if I closed my eyes lol. Night!!!
