If you bought every item that contained pieces of ME3 DLC, you would spend.....

OVER $850!!!!

Of course this includes things like keyboards, headphones and other random ****. The problem I see is how EA is bundling DLC with literally everything out there which in my opinion leads to watered down games in the long run. I know it's a "business model" and "businesses make money" so we don't need to necessarily go down that road within this thread.

How do you feel about the obscene amount of DLC? Discuss.

If you are really that into ME3 then by all means. However it's just a video game and I do not have almost a grand to drop down on a video game, not that I would even if I had the money.. but I am sure there is someone out there with the means and desire to get all the ME3 schwag he can get his hands on.. or she.. I'm not being sexist here.

I think all of the extra skins and weapons with comparable alternatives shipped with the game is fine for DLC. Having day 1 DLC that was finished when the game went gold to me is immoral and forcing consumers to pay to get the complete story line and possibly missing important events/characterize otherwise is ridiculous.

I agree completely. Just like the 'From Ashes' DLC, which comes with a thought-to-be-extinct Prothean character, a race central to the lore of the Reapers and the entire game. And it only comes with the Collector's edition, or soon after launch as a $10 DLC.

Yes, that also makes me angry. DLC with a character who is probably going to be the MOST WANTED companion? On Day 1?

PK it right. They're wringing that sponge dry, and it's starting to get a little old.

Not necessarily, I'll have Garrus in my party most of the time because he's a badass. Probably put Ash in the party for a while too, get Shepard back with her. Would definitely be interesting to see the new character, but if it's like Mass Effect 2's DLC characters, the character will have much more basic interactions with Shepard and fewer comments in missions. It'll probably be a bit like Legion. You get him so late in the game you can't take him on a whole lot of missions, but he's very interesting to talk to for a few dialogs.

My opinion is the same as its been for the past 6 or 7 years. All dlc is garabage. It should have been put in the game in the first place. If the game isnt finished dont release it. People still buy it and support the dlc so its our own faults for giving them money. I no longer purchase dlc, ill play expansions, but no skins or weapons or bullshit dlc. For some reason people are just.now getting angry about it but weve been getting raped since the new consoles were released.

I dunno, my #1 favorite character in Dragon Age was Shale, and he was a DLC companion. Absolutely hilarious and the most interesting. *shrugs*

That was different though. Shale was much more implemented into the main game, and an interesting character. What I mean in Mass Effect 2 is, the DLC characters Zaeed and Kasumi had no dialog trees. Shepard didn't even have any responses or questions for them outside of their recruitment and loyalty missions. You just click on them and they say a few things.

And who is to know how a Prothean character/companion will be implemented into ME3? The problem is, it's a character, AT LAUNCH, that you have to pay for. With ME2 and DA you got the launch character with the purchase of a new game.

The ME3 is bullshit IMO. lol

Well yeah either way I still despise the whole idea of launch DLC, I'm just saying that Shale was a much more implemented character than the ME2 ones. At least with DA:O you got Shale so long as it was a new copy, it was more just protecting profits against the sale of used copies. Making such significant content as a Prothean launch with the game, and only available in the $80 Collector's Edition or as a future $10 DLC though, is garbage. Even Mass Effect 2's launch and shortly-after-launch DLC was free so long as your copy was new, which isn't such a bad thing (though online passes in single player games [or any game for that matter] are still nonsense).
