Gamercide
Fusible did a tiny bit of detective work regarding Activision’s record breaking Call of Duty: Black Ops and discovered that not only was blackops2.com switched over recently to MarkMonitor which happens to be the privacy service that Activision is a client to, but also that in August Activision bought the domains blackops3.com, blackops4.com, blackops5.com, and blackops6.com making it appear that not only is Call of Duty Black Ops 2 is on the horizon but that there will be a total of 6 in the Black Ops series. This should not come as a surprise to anybody with the never ending supply of games that share the name Call of Duty, but Black Ops 6? Really Activision?via Fusible Tweet This Post Post to FacebookView the full article
Kevnvek
I think people are looking into the names too much. Sounds to me those websites are just placeholders. No company, however successful, maps out six whole games, especially when they're just shooters and don't have an intricate, interwoven story. Sholtz
If all of this was true sales would almost die off by 4 if not 3. I only say it will go that far thanks to the peoplewho are hardcore fps shooters and don't care and or notice what they are playing.
Skylark95
Domains are so cheap for companies now that there is no reason not to get them...Cnet's opinion on the series is comical, yet true...http://reviews.cnet....?s=0&o=10010569
Dateranoth
Yeah, I would say if companies have even the smallest plan to release more games they grab the names early. Very small investment for these large game companies.
