I didn't even learn about government until highschool, and even then it was pretty half assed.

Well, wouldn't this have been a high school equivilant test of the time? As in 8th was the highest public school grade?

No idea, but I'd wager most of American high schoolers right now would fail that test.

Most kids were probably not even in school during this time so it was probably the rich kids learning this.

Alot of the questions are in the context of that time, I think they would have the same issue of answering questions about stuff that is current. I would like to see schools get more back to basics though and teach fundamentals and test on them.
