dragons claw69
Has anyone else had the misfortune to play this game? I picked it up cheap because I loved the first one on the Original Xbox, it was dark and gritty and unlike a lot of other Vietnam based games. It was also meant to be easy gamerscore . The game is horrible. Avoid it like the plague. The controls are clunky, the plot is paper thin, the levels are horribly linear, there's no multiplayer, the animation is terrible, hit registration barely exists. The weapons don't really feel much different either. The AK and M16 feel the same recoil wise but one is automatic and the other is burst fire. It feels like it should have been released on the last generation of consoles. I've actually had a lot more fun playing 'Bulletwitch' than this
Ragna Dante
Yeah well....Just be glad you never played Rogue Warrior or Damnation...*Shivers* Shellshock 2 I thankfully avoided like a contagious fatal disease,I didn't even want to touch the box lol. I'm sorry you had to play that game, you have my condolences for the amount of time you killed playing it. Also, Bulletwitch wasn't that bad, I kind of enjoyed it for some odd reason...Then again, I also enjoyed Dark Messiah (DO NOT play it unless you want to deal with a game that is 90% glitchy)
dragons claw69
I was probably unkind throwing BulletWitch in as a comparison that this game. I had a lot of fun playing it, just one achievement left to get in it too (Beat Hell Mode). As bad as it sounds I have set myself the task (maybe I should say ordeal ) of getting the full1K in it. Lets be honest its gonna show on my gamer card anyway but figured I should post this as a warning should anyone see it in the bargain bin
Ragna Dante
Yeah, I wanted to go back and get the rest of the cheevos for Bulletwitch, but I never found the game in any of the stores near me. I know that they just got like 2 in a couple days ago, so I may need to revisit that game. If I don't have any achievements for a bad game, I just delete it so no one knows that I've played it hehe. I wish you luck with Shellshock my friend, you will need it, as well as heart surgery when you finish the game lol.
dragons claw69
I will have to get back to BulletWitch to grind out that last achievement just so I can say I beat it . I picked up Shellshock2, NFS Undercover and Fracture to see what they were like. I guess they'll be getting traded in very shortly
Ragna Dante
I played and beat Fracture a long time ago. I got it for 10 bucks on sale at Best Buy. I thought that the story was very generic, but the gameplay was awesome. Multi-player could have been better, but I definitely want to see the concept of terra-forming explored in future games. I got bored of the story by the end of the first Act (of three), but getting to experiment with all the different guns kept me going. NFS Undercover was great, but it was basically NFS Most Wanted with a new coat of paint. If you haven't yet, I would suggest checking out Midnight Club LA: Complete Edition. I would say trade in Fracture and Shellshock, but if you really get into Undercover, you may want to keep it. It wasn't bad, it just had the misfortune of coming out at the same time as Midnight Club for me.
dragons claw69
For me the NFS series sorta died after Most Wanted. I thought that was the best of them. The story was so over the top too, the later ones started to take themselves too seriously. I despised Carbon.
Ragna Dante
I can agree with you on Most Wanted being the best. It was the only NFS game I played through more than once. It could also be because it was my first 360 game (followed by Oblivion). I had Carbon and played it once before I gave it to a buddy. I can also agree that they took themselves way too seriously, to the point that it was laughable. The next racing game I bought was Midnight Club, followed by Forza 3. Anywho, let me know how you enjoy Fracture and Undercover, they're pretty decent games, even if they're a bit generic.
dragons claw69
Most Wanted I completed on the PS2, Xbox (twice) and 360. I played the heck outta that game Undercover I honestly can't get into and with the bad luck I've been having I'm not sure I want to try Fracture
Ragna Dante
Oh now you're just being pessimistic. Well, if you bought them from gamestop, at least you get the 7 day return policy. If not, well, I'm sorry to hear that lol. I think you may find something slightly enjoyable in Fracture. The weapons are fun....at least... Ragna Dante
Ouch, that sucks bro. If you want any suggestions on games to try out, I can help you out. Just let me know what kind of games you're looking for and I can point out a few good ones. I'm very picky compared to a lot of my friends, but I tend to dabble in a few mediocre games for fun. I've played Jericho and Dark Messiah, both of which were labeled as terrible, but it's one of those things where the game is so bad, that it's good. dragons claw69
After the Zero Punctuation review of Jericho I think I'm gonna give it a wide berth Maybe I was pinning too much hope on finding a diamond in the rough. I was trying to pick up an older game that didn't have a stack of DLC to download too. MW2 I can only play in bursts (lots of playtime-avoid-lots of playtime-avoid), Mass Effect 2's Insanity difficulty is kicking my backside and there don't seen to be any games that I'm interested in coming out other than Crackdown 2 and possibly Halo; Reach (yes I'm seriously considering buying a Halo game )For now I'm just gonna play more Oblivion, it was difficult to get into at the start because I was playing after work for an hour here and there. Ragna Dante
Well....As an oblivion gamer who devoted over 250 hours since I first got it several years ago, I think you'll be fine playing oblivion until other things come out. Do you have the GOTY edition or did you download the dlc for it? All the extra stuff to do really makes Oblivion that much better, on top of the buttload of stuff you already have to do in the regular game. A few suggestions from me, try out Red Faction or Tomb Raider Anniversary. Both are really good games, and both are super cheap now. Just figured I'd toss those out in case you wanted at least one game to break up the Oblivion playthrough.
dragons claw69
I didn't get the anniversary one, I got the double pack with Bioshock (never really warmed to it) but I'm not sure how much room is on the HDD for any more DLC and I can't afford to spring for a larger drive. The original Red Faction I loved, the second one wasn't great. It had a few good levels but it just felt like a mis-mash of games. I've never been a fan of Tomb Raider either so I might just stay clear.I'll just blame the marketing geniuses who decided that it would be better to push everything back because of MW2 so we have an early drought of games

ThermoNukePanda
I've played Shellshock 2, unfortunately, but I have to say it's far from the worst I've played. Definitely a crappy game though. Rogue Warrior is way worse however. If you want another mildly crappy game, check out Wanted. Its a game based off the crappy movie based off the awesome comic. dragons claw69
You can look at my gamer card and see what I ended up getting after trading in those 3 I mentioned
Ragna Dante
Traded them in for ODST huh? Not a bad trade to say the least. I'll be getting ODST soon as well, maybe we can do some firefight. Also, I agree with Chris that Rogue Warrior was worse than Shellshock 2. Shellshock looks like it's bad, but still playable, where Rogue Warrior....was a chore to play all the way through. dragons claw69
Sure, be warned though its taking me a while to get used to the controls lol. Its actually a decent game. I can honestly say I'm pleasantly surprised especially as I'm not a Halo fan. The disc for the Halo 3 multilayer is pretty good too, I even managed to win my first two games
