The recording feature will allow you to capture up to 15 minutes of game footage. On top of the capture feature you can share the game stream with a friend, and that friend can even take over and help you with the game. This is a step in the right direction, but this is a small step forward in contrast to a large step back. While you can record your game without Playstation Plus, you can't play multiplayer without a subscription.

Sony confirmed on August 8th that Game Recording will be free regardless if you are subscribed to Playstation Plus or not. This game has some amazing vistas! Metro’s story isn’t an entirely a new concept. Nuclear destruction wipes out society; society crumbles on itself and retreats underground to survive. Throw in a dash of mutants, terrifying and telepathic monsters known as the “Dark Ones”, set the stage in Russia with an economy based on trading military grade bullets and you pretty much get the point. "I’ve had a bad time working with Microsoft in the past. Maybe not super bad, but a moderately bad time in terms of business relationships. Other developers who are friends of mine have had a horrible time, so the idea of signing up again with Microsoft isn’t something I’d have ruled out, but there’s a certain amount of dread I have about doing that again. I don’t have that with Sony. Who knows, maybe it’ll turn out to be just as bad at the end! But I don’t think so. The people we’re talking to on a daily basis there are just really good people, and we’re happy to work with them. We’ll see how
