Sony Not Feeling The Heat Of Microsoft's Xbox One Price Cut
vectordream replied to Siren's topic in Gamercide News
Your right on the mark with this. I don't have a PS4 yet so I can't comment on that part but I totally agree the Wii U is sheer fun in gaming. I picked one up about a month ago and just love it. It feels more next gen in some ways than the X1 and PS4. The gaming pad with the screen is much better than I though it would be. I grew up with NES and Super Nintendo when I was a kid and so glad I picked this console up. I can't put Super Smash Bros Wii U down. Like I said the only one I don't have is the PS4 and was hoping for a black friday deal but not really seeing one that is as amazing as the X1 deals. Keeping my eyes open but the X1 is a great system with good support. Sunset Overdrive was fun and more games are coming. Dragon Age Inquisition has my attention at the moment. @ThermoNukePanda - yeah I am going to get a PS4 for sure sometime soon. Can't miss Bloodborne. You might already know but on the X1 you can use an external drive of any size as long as it is above 250GB to extend your memory. Digital Foundry has a great in-depth guide on this http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digitalfoundry-2014-xbox-one-external-hard-drive-upgrade-guide -

[Review] The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds

Its not sad its freaking awesome!! I have a collection going as well. I still have my Atari 2600 from when I was a kid and my NES. I need to take my NES apart again and clean it and adjust it. Its been awhile. Wish I still had my SNES. Loved that console as well. -

I have it and love it. Spawn's review is spot on! If your 3DS is collecting dust try out Pokemon X/Y. I was skeptical since it seems like they don't really change the formula but this one surprised me. I put in over 100hrs into the game before beating it and still have stuff to do in the game. -
Awesome I have never played the first one.
-
If you start playing this one it will be hard for you to play White. I say move up to this one so we can trade!!
-
Anyone that picked this up that wants to trade Pokemon let me know! I got quite a list of critters going.

Cool thanks thats awesome! It is fun to write short impressions like this.

Sure thing!

Not a full review or anything but just my thoughts. I have put about 10 hours into the game. I almost passed on this game but I got my hands on X and Y this past weekend and I am happy to report that the game feels much better than the previous installments that I have played. I had Heart Gold on DS and before that Ruby on the Advance. Ruby was awesome and I loved playing that game but I never felt like newer versions were a whole lot different. Granted I have not played them all but just looking at the installments I have not played, friend and player reviews for them, you could tell that there was not a whole lot of changes. This is a game for me that is more fun to play every couple generations where enough time has gone by or significant improvements added for it to feel fresh again and to rediscover why you liked it in the first place. That said I feel like this version has raised the bar a bit. The core mechanics are still intact for the series but everything just feels more refined overall. The addition of roller skates that you get early speed up your characters movement and it makes a big difference getting around. In addition things added like the Exp. Share that you also get early, when equipped, allow the Pokémon in your party of 6 to get some experience from the battle even though they may not have fought that battle. This is huge because it was such a grind to level a young Pokémon later on in the game. Lastly, there is a new type called Fairy. The graphics are gorgeous on the 3DS and look much improved with better-looking character models and sprites especially when your Pokémon are duking it out. The camera zooms and pans on the action as you take down your opponents. Above all else the addictive "Catch 'Em All" gameplay makes this a must buy for any Pokémon fan with a 3DS in my opinion. Call of Duty: Ghosts on PC Will Take up 50 GB
vectordream replied to Siren's topic in Gamercide News
Exactly. I have already seen my ISP listing caps that they will be enforcing soon. The ISPs are gonna start nickel and diming us just like the cell phone companies are doing. Contract agreements, bandwidth caps etc. -

Yikes and all these companies want us to go all digital eventually but not with file sizes like that. -
The best plan for me is to hold off on any new gen console for at least 1-2 years.

Eternal Darkness Spiritual Successor Shadow of the Eternals Delayed

I don't think it reached its funding goal on Kickstarter if I remember correctly. That is why it was put on the shelf I think. -
Killzone: Shadow Fall File Save is a Massive 50GB
vectordream replied to Siren's topic in Gamercide News
Saw this earlier. Looks cool. I could get that downloaded eventually but with file sizes like that it does not help if these companies are pushing to go all digital. ISP's are starting to cap people. Mine has not yet but its coming. Uncharted 3 was 40GB on PS+. I opted to get the game at a Target sale recently instead for $9.99 to save myself the time and have the benefit of it being a physical copy. -
Blizzard Removing the Auction House From Diablo III Entirely
vectordream replied to Kevnvek's topic in Computer
I read this a bit ago as well. Pretty much right after I bought the console version. Its too little too late for the PC version in my opinion. The expansion will bring people back but I don't think its gonna release as fast as the first quarter of 2014 which I believe is when the AH closes down. They always take their sweet time so that xpac is gonna be awhile. I cant believe I gave them another chance on the console version but it was given some love and is more enjoyable to me currently. -

Great review! I can't wait to play the game. The superpowers look like they are so fun that some of the negatives won't matter so much.

Phil Harrison Attempts to Clear Up Rumors About Xbox One
vectordream replied to Siren's topic in Gamercide News
We just got Xboned! haha. The good news is though that they have to support the 360 for awhile yet. I predict a influx of people buying up used and old 360 games like crazy to have some kind of collection to fall back on. -

Couldn't of said it any better. Extremely saddened by the DRM on this thing. There are no two ways around it and they can suger coat it all they want. I want to love this console. I like change and welcome it most of the time but Xbone sounds like a publisher's dream console. They are not telling us exactly everything just yet we shall see. -
Good review! I rented the first one awhile back. It was ok for a little bit but not sure this one will get me back. We will see.
