Basically some blog-ish/gallery type of website.While not completed *-gallery/contact form/other goodies being implemented tomorrow*, the website does have a few fonctionalities... -user registration-user login-logout-admin only pages-admin can add blog posts *still in developement* Everything was built up from scratch and we have 'till next tuesday where we present it to part of our college. Blog page got updated. -Admin users and them alone can add a new blog entry.-Each blog entry has it's own dynamicly created link & page. -Blog page only shows first 10 words of blog content and going on the page reveals all the content. -Blog entry comments still in developement and hopefully will be done by tomorrow. Final update. -Domain name changed to actual "product name". www.dee-car.tk-Fixed varius bugs here and there. *I know some firefox buttons don,t work on certain versions of firefox and IE 8 and earlier can be shit... couldn't do everything* -Various backend fixes-Index page got a "last blog entries" slider. -Tablet and mobile version should be somewhat stable Probably forgetting some misc stuff but that's bout it.We had about a week to develop it and gotta say I'M amazed with what we came up with, with so little time. Kira Onime Posted June 22, 2013 Author Share Posted June 22, 2013 Well even tho my classes are over, I've been continuing this project on the side in my spare time.I've been able to add some new features to the website which include the following. -Personal user page *Basically shows the info you put when you register with 2 features*----Possibility to change password----Can now add/change user avatar *You get asigned a default one when you register* -Can visit other users pages but will have limited info on them-----Trying to view an unexisting user props an error. -Added the display of user avatars here and there as well as putting a link to the users page. -Gallery can now be updated via admin page by uploading an image. Previously had to be done manually by adding the extra code in the page and image in folder.Now admin only has to upload thumbnail + full iamge + Image description *if needed* and php does the rest. I've put this on www.kira-onime.tk as I will be putting that website on my C.V. and, even tho it sounds selfish, will not be putting it on the project domain as I kinda don't want to give credit for this extra work to those that didn't do anything. And thanks for the comment Fap. PS:If anyone had registered before, you might have to do it again as I kinda flushed the old database and put a new one instead. Mostly added back end stuff or admin related stuff. -Admin has button on each blog entry to delete it... users have nothing.-Admin has delete button on all comments, users only have on theirs-Admin also has delete on galery images... reg users don't. -Added various time stamps here and there such as time of crated posts/blogs. Page displays 15 results then creates a new one.-Modified backend registration to be able to filter members list properly.-Added moderator class in database-Added function to look up a specific user or a user containing "xxx" string.-Added display settings for user list ---show all members acsending/descending---show admins only acs/desc---show mods only asc/desc -Added "member since" & "user id" on user pages. Kira Onime Posted July 3, 2013 Author Share Posted July 3, 2013 No idea if anyone is following but this kinda serves me as a progress report. -Added Super Administrator status.--Super admins has al the rights of prevoiously set admins + is able to changer a user's status to mod or admin. -Added email verification on registration---Un-verifed accounts can "log in" but will be limited as someone without an account.---Following the link on the email will verify the account and lift restrictions from user. -Added ability to change email -Added extra security on passwords.---Passwords used to be stored directly in plain text in databse. Now they get hashed.---Tweaked password functions to include hash to match database. -Added "forgot apssword" feature using either ID or email.---Reseting your password sends you an email with the new one and of courses change pwd in database. -Added an "all users" and "all blogs" page with search functions in them.--- can search for users/blogs with containing either words or letters. It basically searches the for the string you entered.---Blogs/users can also be displayed based on a few options *latest registered, alphabetical etc." Note : Some pages are still missing such as when you verify an acc, it sends to a blank page where it's displayed "GOOD" if everything went well. Kira Onime Posted July 8, 2013 Author Share Posted July 8, 2013 Small but head scratching update -Should a blog entry have 1000 comments, you don't want to see all 1000 at first.----Added default number of comments to display, currently set to 5 but easily changed for higher----User can increase/decrease displayed comments by 5 ---- or load all. Increase/decrease value easily changed----Lowest number of displayed post will always be 5 Yeah... all I was able to do today but still feeling some effects of yesterday,s hangover and even then, damned thing was a pain to get to work properly. Kira Onime Posted July 8, 2013 Author Share Posted July 8, 2013 If the transfer goes well and I did everything properly...Juste a few QOL updates. -Removed multiple instances of database being called on about 15-ish pages seperatly.---Now website uses 1 master database include file and calls that when it's needed.---*Also eases transfer process. I don't have to go change the "call database lines" everywhere now.*---Both search pages had to be redone due to this but was a quick and easy fix. -Renamed localhost database to that of online one so ease transfer process---Simply lets me upload file in online version and voila.
