Dungeoncrawler69
damn console makers have adapted and now want to throw updated hardware at us every-other-year. you gaming dogs consider this good or bad?
Dateranoth
I’m ok with it as long as the games are required to play on all systems. Though, considering they usually take a loss on hardware, I’m not really sure what the end game is.

Dateranoth
That’s a good point. Luckily I’m still not that intrigued by consoles. Just the occasional great game that comes through.
spawn622
The One X appears to be Microsoft trying to be more PC-like and upgrading the console every year or so. It’s really annoying to guys like me that buy systems at launch and then an upgraded one comes along a year or less later. I don’t want to spend another $500+ on another Xbox. I’m not seeing anything other than the limited Dolby Atmos support that interests me here. When they get that worked out for a lot more games, I might consider it. There are supposed to be slight improvements in 1080p, but I highly doubt it’s enough to justify the upgrade for me. P.S. - Fuck you Microsoft for using ANY Kanye West song in your marketing. Dateranoth
Too bad they don't make them modular. Would be a good thing if you could go buy a new video card, pop out the old, and boom. However, I'm ok with the concept as long as they force developers to make sure their games run correctly on the older hardware.
