Phishing on Steam. Beware

Recommended Posts

Pretty much every day now I get a new friend request from some new account that's level one and owns one very cheap game. Last FR had one game and it retailed on the Steam store for fourteen cents.

Apparently these are Phishing accounts. You go to add them and Steam apparently asks you to login. Don't. It's set up that way so they can get your Steam details.

Someone made a guide. Don't know how old it is, but it seems to cover it well.

If you do add someone new and you don't know them, do not click any links they send to you shortly after accepting their friend invites.
