Siren
Microsoft is giving users with malfunctioning Xbox One's a free game of their choosing as they wait for the arrival of their replacement Xbox One.Microsoft made the announcement that users who have to send their faulty Xbox One in and are waiting to receive a replacement Xbox One console get to choose from either Dead Rising 3, Forza Motorsport 5, Ryse: Son of Rome, or Zoo Tycoon in the form of a digital download.Microsoft acknowledged that the Xbox One disc drive is malfunctioning for some users on Monday and are quickly trying to replace those units by mailing out new Xbox One's before the user sends their faulty console in."We're working directly with those affected to get a replacement console to them as soon as possible through our advance exchange program. Rest assured, we are taking care of our customers."Users can expect their new Xbox One within a matter of days of reporting the issue to support."Customers have the option for us to send a replacement console right away without waiting until they have returned their old one. This means a customer only has to wait a matter of days, rather than weeks to get back up and running."Microsoft has not released the official numbers of those effected by the faulty disc drive, however they have said a "very small number" of Xbox One's are having the issue.via CNETClick here to view the article
