As a matter of fact. At the going rate you could hop over to the contest page and win it with little to no work. My contest is still running until the end of the month, and as of yet no entries. So, go there, download fraps, and submit a 30 second clip of WoW and you could very likely be the winner by default!
Kevnvek
I don't know of very many recording programs, but FRAPS is pretty popular:http://www.fraps.com/download.phpAlso, enter Daternoth's contests and you could win a full licensed version:http://www.gamercide.org/forum/index.php?/topic/3-fraps-contest/

If you're computer is on the slower side I recommend setting the FPS to 30 and the size to half size under movie options. Also, make sure Lock framerate is unchecked. The only down side to FRAPS is the size of the video. It takes up an average of 27MB per second of recording time. So, the longer the clip the more space you'll need on your HD. On that note, it has a very neat feature now. You can tell it to be ready to record, and it records like normal but doesn't save to the HD. Then you can be playing, and say you noticed something cool you can hit the record button and it will record the last 30 seconds of gameplay and then continue recording from there. ( In the demo version just the last 30 seconds will be recorded ) . That way you can always be ready without having to take up HD space on useless footage.
