Siren
Rumors began running rampant across the internet that Activision had sold one of Sony's most successful game series, Crash Bandicoot. Activision has squashed the rumor stating that they still own Crash, however also issued some words that fans of the series might find discouraging.Activision's community manager Dan Amrich stated that Crash needs a reason to come back on store shelves and in the hands of gamers and that "fan support is not enough"."The game needs to have a really good reason to exist, Fan support is not enough to get a game made on the level that you're looking for."He further concluded that Crash Bandicoot may not even see a console again."Now is not the right time for Crash Bandicoot, Will he ever come back? I have no idea."Crash Bandicoot is one of Sony's more successful video game series with the series altogether selling 40 million units worldwide. 6.3 million units were sold during the release of the original Crash Bandicoot making that game alone Sony's seventh best-selling video game of all time.via EurogamerClick here to view the article
ThermoNukePanda
That's a shame. The Crash Bandicoot games were actually pretty darn cool. :/
Dateranoth
What is a better reason for a game to exist than the fans who play it?
