IGN claims that there is a rumor running around the internet that the next version of Kinect, Kinect 2 may have it's very own voice that interacts with several people including welcoming a new individual who just entered into a room to asking a person to identify himself or herself.
Another aspect of the Kinect 2 that is still hanging out in the "rumor/tried to to be explained, but miserably failed stage" is whether or not the Kinect will always be viewing and hearing what you do which has become a concern of many gamers in regards to their privacy. Harvey Eagle; Microsoft's UK Marketing Director stated, "Kinect does require to be connected to Xbox One in all cases, yes". However Microsoft quickly retracted that statement and said, "It is not always watching or always listening... you can turn the system completely off. This would use no power and turn everything off. We’ll share more details about how it all works later." Those details are expected to be made known at this year's E3.
The amazingly creepy Kinect 2 sensor will have a 1080p camera and a motion control camera that captures 2 gigabits of data per second.
