Fail Tuesday - PETA Attacks Nintendo Over Mario

Mario, a character that has been around since 1981's classic Donkey Kong and not to mention the face of Nintendo, has fallen under attack from one of the mosted hated groups ever comprised of people who need a mental examination, PETA.

Instead of concentrating their efforts on animal poachers or saving the rain forest, PETA has decided that Mario is a fur hating, animal killer all because of the popular Tanooki suit that resembles a tan raccoon. PETA has even launched a Mario Kills Tanooki website that depicts the fan favorite character taking a real like Tanuki raccoon dog, holding it's decapitated head, and dancing in it's blood while the head is some how crying despite missing it's body.

This is not the first time PETA has attacked video games by creating a "video game" of their own. Last year they wasted their time by creating an anti Super Meat Boy game called Super Tofu Boy, because you know, Tofu is not only healthy but incredibly badass in all of it's tofu-ness.

"When on a mission to rescue the princess, Mario has been known to use any means necessary to defeat his enemy—even wearing the skin of a raccoon dog to give him special powers. Tanooki may be just a "suit" in Mario games, but in real life, tanuki are raccoon dogs who are skinned alive for their fur. By wearing Tanooki, Mario is sending the message that it's OK to wear fur." - Statement made by PETA on the Mario Kills Tanooki website

Remember kids, if you purchase a new copy of the just released Super Mario 3D Land you are not only aiding Mario in rescuing Princess Peach and having fun doing it, but also killing, maming, decapitating, and skinning the real life Tanuki.
