Destiny is a part of Bungie's 10 year publishing deal with Activision and features a story set in post-apocalyptic setting where three races are guarding the last city in Earth; Human, Exo, and Awoken. The Exo race who appear to channel Master Chief likeness were actually inspired by Master Chief, the undead, and The Terminator. Each race will also have a class to go with it that has been influenced by Star Wars, old westerns, Lord of the Rings, The Matrix, and you guessed it; Master Chief.
Destiny does not have an official release date, however Amazon has "place holder" release date of June 30th, 2014.
