Valve had stated that free DLC would be coming out over the summer. Well, it's now near the middle of Fall, and finally Valve has released details on Portal 2's first DLC pack, titled "Peer Review". The DLC will add a new set of courses for Atlas and P-Body to complete, continuing the story of the pair of lovable robots "as you puzzle your way through a mysterious new co-op test track and once again match wits with GLaDOS." Also included are challenge courses for both the multiplayer and singleplayer components, backed up with leaderboard support. The free DLC pack will hit Steam, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 on October 4th. So get those online friends of yours back into the game and tear through those courses. Or you could be antisocial and strive for gold in the singleplayer challenges. If they're anywhere as challenging as Portal's, it might take you a while. Thank goodness for YouTube guides right?
Also important to note is that the third part of the Portal 2 soundtrack is available for free download. In case you wanted to download it, or missed out on the other two parts, you can download everything here.
A bit of background about the stellar game Portal 2 as described by Gamespot.com:
"Portal 2--which has shipped 2 million units--is the continuation of the 2007 Orange Box pack-in Portal. The single-player portion of the new title continues the travails of human lab rat Chell, who in the original game used a portal gun to create interdimensional openings on ceilings, walls, and floors in an effort to escape the Aperture Science labs and thwart the diabolical artificial intelligence known as GLaDOS.
