Dead or Alive 5 Pre-Alpha Footage Released

One of the main competitors in the fighting game market, Dead or Alive, will be adding another sequel to its roster, Dead or Alive 5. To make the game's presence known, a short demo featuring a fight between Ryu Hayabusa and an original DoA ninja character, Hayate.

The gameplay demo seems to emphasize the use of counter-attacks to break the enemy's concentration, and to utilize the surrounding environments, as was demonstrated by the exploding barrels and Ryu dangling off the edge of the skyscraper.
