Sony Files Patent For Kinect Like Camera

Is Sony branching out from the Eye Toy and trying something Kinect like? According to a report on E-mpire, Sony is not just thinking about developing a new camera, they are already in the process of filing for a patent.

The detailed description for the new infrared motion sensing device included drawing plans for motion controlled devices similar to the Wii. The devices included a pistol and bat like controller. Also shown was the Playstation Dual-Shock controller that appeared to have LED lights on the top in between the four trigger buttons.
