Gamescom Error Leads to Half Life 3 Listing

Gamescom 2012 decided to give gamers a heart attack everywhere when it posted Half Life 3 as a game that was supposed to be announced at the venue.

Organizers of the show have spoken directly to Eurogamer and said that it was a "mistake". Also on that list of games that included another "mistake" was Dragon Age 3.

Eurogamer did ask three times why both of the games were mentioned and are now a "mistake", however the people behind Gamescom did not give an answer.

Was it really a mistake on the part of an employee behind the scenes or was Half Life 3 suppose to be announced but Valve changed their plans?
