ThermoNukePanda
Typically Sony is known to advertise ahead of time, usually around the Thursday beforehand, what new games are being added the the IGC (Instant Game Collection) for PS+ subscribers. March was anything but the typical month however. Last week sites like Gamespot began reporting the intial delay in announcement of the free titles, with Sony's Fred Dutton responding, "I appreciate you're all really keen to see the line-up and that it's frustrating having to hang on a bit longer than usual. Alas, we're still not quite ready to make the announcement. I can't give you a firm time at present as to when the post will go live, but we're working to get it to you as soon as possible. It may well be next week at this stage." Well it's literally been taken to zero hour with today's update, and keen eyed observers have pointed out a possible explanation even though no official word can confirm this. Playstation's EU blog which put up a the initial list of games has (edit..... HAD. It's been fixed currently) an interesting URL when looked at closely. While it's been since fixed, it listed within the URL a mention of Bethesda's critically acclaimed 2012 title of Dishonored. There is mention of it by many commentors on that blog, and Sony was incredibly quick to fix it (so quick in fact that even I couldn't copy the link in time). Whether there was licensing agreement problems will remain unknown for now, and in place of Dishonored Sony has announced one of the free PS3 games will be Sherlock Holmes. Instead of Dishonored, PS3 is getting Sherlock Holmes.... not exactly a fair trade With all of the ruckus out of the way, here is the list of March's IGC offerings for PS+ subscribers: PS4 will be gettingOddworld: New ‘n’ TastyValiant Hearts PS3 will be gettingPapo and YoSherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishments And finally the PS Vita concludes the list withOlliOlli 2: Welcome to Olliwood (cross buy with PS4)CounterSpy ( cross buy for PS4/PS3/PS Vita) Are you disappointed with the above offerings? Worth the wait and delay? Let us know!
