Woohoo! The Imperial Edition is getting reserved.   I cannot wait for this to come out.  I have been wanting an Elder Scrolls online game for so long now.

I'm still firmly on the fence. On the one hand, it's a huge Elder Scrolls universe to explore. On the other hand, I'm afraid, being an mmo I won't get the depth I'm used to from this universe. My biggest fear is it leaving a bad taste in my mouth.

So, be sure to let me know what you think Siren. :)

You pay for it.. and it has a subscription fee..

I've been wanting absolutely nothing but the best for ESO, the Elder Scrolls franchise is dear to me. I wrote a damn essay on my application for early access and just wanted to help in any way i could to push it in the right direction.

All I have been hearing about it though just makes it more and more disappointing. At this point I think it would've been better if something happened and the whole thing got scrapped, and the only memory we were left with was excitement for the project, hoping it could be done in the future but better(Battlefront 3?).

As tempting as it is to grab a pre-order, I can't support the way they've structured all this. If you guys end up getting it and it really does surpass expectations I'll be all the happier for it. But It doesn't seem likely.

So, I actually found the time to play the beta for a while this weekend. Made it to level 6 and managed to explore some parts of the world.  All I can say is it just feels empty. The game is ok, and the play is fairly solid, but it just feels lacking. I'm use to having a distraction at every corner in ES games, but this just feels like I'm running from one quest to the next with no meat.  Might be worth a try for some, but I just can't get the monotonous feel of repetition out of my head.

I feel the same way about it.  I've only played it a bit and gotten to about level 3 or 4 and not even far enough to leave the island I was started on (after you get out of the initial location; being unspecific for the NDA).  It just kind of feels like there's not a whole lot to do, and what there is, is too easy.  The combat is incredibly easy.  I'm used to playing TES games on at least hard to get the sense of the world actually being big and dangerous, and monster/bandit/dragon/etc. encounters actually being something to be wary of.  I even did a quest to banish an ancient evil body possessing spirit and it didn't feel as epic as it should have, what with all the dialog.  Just kill a few skeletons then activate a couple switches to kill the boss.

I'll give it one more chance in a couple hours tonight while the beta is still live, but then I'm going to play some more Ni No Kuni.
