Surely most have heard of this by now, but Steve Jobs, the genius who gave us all the iPod, iPhone, and iPad, which exploded into the App and digital music age we are all enjoying today and will enjoy for generations to come, died today as a result of a rare pancreatic cancer. Let us all remember a man who fundamentally and forever changed the way we listen to music, interact with computers, and explore the possibilities of technology. Here are statements from other important individuals and organizations about Steve's passing:

"Apple has lost a visionary and creative genius, and the world has lost an amazing human being. Those of us who have been fortunate enough to know and work with Steve have lost a dear friend and an inspiring mentor. Steve leaves behind a company that only he could have built, and his spirit will forever be the foundation of Apple."
